Introduction:
Pear tastes sweet and a little bit sour. It can engender liquid and allay thirst, also eliminates internal heat, sputum, nourish and hangover. Notes:
Pear should not be consumed with crab, otherwise, diarrhea may be caused. As pear is diuretic, it should not be ate excessively by frequent urination patients before they sleep. Pear is regarded as wet and cold nature, which should not be eaten excessively by patients who are in spleen deficiency diarrhea and intolerance to cold due to its negative effect to spleen and stomach. Moreover, diabetes patients should be careful of eating pear. Chronic enteritis, stomach cold patients are not recommended to eat pear.
 
Purchase:
Pear in average and full fruit size and with stem are recommended to be purchased. Pear with a deeper pit on the umbilical is believed in better condition.

Steam, make into sauce, boil in a soup, stew.
