Who said college study is a privilege exclusive to the young people? Back to school can not only allow those over 50 to gain new knowledge and a fulfilling retired life, but also meeting new friends and broadening life circles.
The Diploma in Active Ageing is specifically designed for people over 50 years old by the Institute of Active Aging, allowing them to achieve the dream of further education that has been put aside when they were young due to financial or family reasons.
The course offers 10 different subjects ranging from health management, personal finance and social policies for elderly. Students who have completed study of 3 subjects will be graduated with a Certificate in Active Ageing. Students who have completed all 10 subjects will be graduated with a Diploma in Active Ageing, which is equivalent to year 2 of a bachelor degree program.

The course is conducted in Cantonese. Scholarship of $2,500 per subject is available to qualified candidates. Applicants are expected to have the qualification equivalent to secondary 6, or equivalent to secondary 5 with 3 years of full-time work experience. Tuition fee for the 2018/19 academic year is $5,595 per subject. All students must finish their study within 2 to 4 years.
