Have you heard of the Employment Programme for the Elderly and Middle-aged (EPEM)? This programme is provided by the Labour Department. Job seekers aged 40 or above and have an unemployment period of not less than 1 month within 1 year prior to the commencement date of employment are eligible for this programme.

Eligible job seekers will be engaged in full-time or part-time (i.e. working 18 hours to less than 30 hours per week) permanent jobs. They will be provided with on-the-job training recognised by the Labour Department. Job seekers will not only secure stable employment, but also acquire essential job-specific skills.

No prior registration under EPEM is required. Relevant registration can be made when job seekers have secured full-time or part-time permanent employment from vacancies registered at the Labour Department. For further enquiries, please contact EPEM Hotline 2150 6398. For latest vacancy information, please click here. For frequently asked questions, please click here.
