Emergency What's News Special Offer
Hong Kong residents aged 65 or above can apply for a Senior Citizen Card to enjoy concessions, discounts or priority services offered by government departments and various companies. Elders who will reach 65 years old within 60 days may also apply by mail.

Application can be made online, by mail or in person (see address at the end of this article) with the following supporting documents:
  • completed application form (click here to download)
  • recent full-faced photograph (plain background)
  • copy of HK identity card

If the application is submitted by the applicant’s relative or friend, the representative is required to produce a copy of his/her HK identity card for verification.

It normally takes 7 working days to process an application and the card will be sent to the applicant by mail. For applicants who will reach 65 years old in the coming 60 days, they will receive an acknowledgement letter, and the card will be sent to the applicant by mail on a working day before the applicant’s birthday.

Senior Citizen Card owners can download a mobile app (click here to download) to get access to the latest concession information through their smartphones. The app can be downloaded for free from the iPhone App Store or the Android Market by searching for ‘Senior Citizen Card’.
