Nations depend on generations of inherited knowledge, skills, and ideas to develop. With each stage of cultural evolution or advancement in science and technology, such knowledge can be transformed accordingly to create a better life for future generations.
Our "Heritage" section focuses on introducing the unique cultural past of China, especially the "intangible cultural heritage" that displays the knowledge, art, skills, customs, etc., contained in the country's 5,000-year history. Passed down from many generations, the cultural heritage of China closely relates to people's lives, deepening our understanding of the country's history. It also helps encourage new generations to cherish the valuable traditions preserved by their predecessors through practice and promoting cultural diversity.
"Heritage" is now divided into three themes to introduce more familiar traditional Chinese culture, including:
, Chinese opera
(Calligraphy and painting
, arts and crafts
