Lotus root    600g
Lean pork    500g
Red dates     20g
  1. Scald the lean port in boiling water.
  2. Wash and peel the lotus roots. Use the back of cleaver to smash open the lotus roots or cut them into pieces.
  3. Add water to pot and boil with high heat before adding all ingredients.
  4. Simmer for 3-4 hours after boiling. Add salt before serving.
